ADDITIONAL REMARKS
1. Mishandling of these lamps can result in risks to health and safety. You should avoid prolonged exposure of your person to the direct rays emitted by these lamps. You should wear UV protective glasses to protect your eyes from damage if you look at the light from the lamp directly. In addition, the lamp contains mercury, which is an environmental risk, should the lamp be broken. Disposal of the lamp after its useful lifetime is subject to local regulations.
2. The performance of lamps of this type will always decline with use. If the lamp is used substantially all day long, it should be replaced after about a year. You will not perceive any change in its function, but the proportion of UV energy in the emitted light becomes less.
3. The lamp should normally be situated so as to be from 30 cm to 50 cm (12 inch to 20 in) from the reptiles. 4. There should be no material, such as glass or plastic, intervening between the lamp and the reptile. 5. The lamp should not be relied upon to supply very much heating. 6. I will test each lamp for 10 minutes before sending it out.
